Commissions FAQ'S:

Do I need to come to you and pose?

No. I like to work from photographs. All you need are a couple of good quality images of the person's face, a full height shot so I can compare body shape, skin tones etc and an idea of the sort of pose you would like. From there I can sketch something out for you approval before you commit to the full project. I can work from a single image but if the copyright for that image is owned by someone else, please ensure you have permission to use it.

Does it take ages?

I do get busy but try to leave time for at least one commission a month. I have done emergency gift peices before but it's better if you plan at least a couple of month's in advance just incase!

Will it cost the Earth?

On average, private pieces will cost around £120. They can be more or less, depending on the time each piece takes. I try to keep my rates reasonable and price jobs in advance according to complexity. After discussing your needs and giving you a quotation and possibly a very quick sketch, I take a deposit of 30%. I will then do a more more in depth sketch / mood board for your approval. Once agreed I take a further 30% before beginning the final piece, with the remainder due upon completion and prior to delivery. I can set up payment plans for anyone needing longer to pay.  We can negotiate whether the final piece should be framed and delivery options.

I like your cushions, can I be on one?!

Yes! Once your commission is completed I take a digital copy which we can then put onto any of our merchandise at your request. You can do this at any time after having your painting done.
